June 23, 2022 鈥� SACRAMENTO, CA — Recently, 麻豆社madou鈥檚 Student Investment Fund (SIF) placed second in the 2022 Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Education (GAME) Forum’s Global Portfolio Competition in the Graduate Overall category.
Sacramento State Associate Professor of Finance and current faculty advisor, Dr. David Moore, says winners were selected based solely on risk-adjusted return performance and were pushed into the Graduate category due to having 11 MBA and 10 undergraduates during the timeframe performance was judged (calendar year 2021). Yet, they still placed second. 聽Which according to several BlackRock portfolio managers and College of Business alumni, this is huge accomplishment and garners much attention.
麻豆社madou鈥檚 SIF was founded and approved by its board of directors in 2009 and an MOU was executed with Sac State in October 2010. The initial deposit of $250,000 was made in September 2010.
Since then, the fund has grown significantly and as of 3/30/2022, holds a balance of over $1 million. Its currently invested in 99% large-cap equity funds and 1% cash, and since its inception, the portfolio鈥檚 return is 13.22%.
